MUST-DO’s IN 2022 TO MASSIVELY GROW YOUR CONFIDENCE

If you’re ready to massively grow your confidence in the new year, this article walks you through the five things you can do to make it a little easier. Confidence allows you to feel better about many aspects of your life which will ultimately improve your quality of life. So, growing your confidence means you will start getting more done, you’ll say yes to more opportunities, and you’ll take more action. 2022 is going to be your best year yet! Here is your first must-do:

Cut off the F-listers

Both in real life and on social media.Anyone who doesn’t contribute anything positive to your life, cut them off! It may be a little difficult to do it abruptly, but at least begin to distance yourself from them. Especially on social media! Block, delete, unfollow, mute or whatever the app requires to stop seeing anything that doesn’t promote inspiration or puts a smile on your face. For the F-listers in real life, make a list, either a written or mental one, of the friends, co-workers, family members, even a romantic partner who drains you, tries to control you, causes you to doubt yourself, or is just plain negative. Cut them off and you will notice just how much more at peace you are. You deserve inner peace!

Start your gratitude journal

By focusing on the positive and all that you do have, you will attract more. I’m a huge believer that the more grateful you are, the happier you will be. It worked for me and there is an enormous amount of evidence to support this. If a journal sounds too daunting, consciously be grateful in your thoughts, in what you say and in your actions. “Gratitude is the best attitude.”

Be nicer to yourself

You’ve probably heard the term self-compassion before. It’s pretty popular for a reason. Showing yourself compassion is the single most effective way to be nicer to yourself!  How do you speak to your best friends? Or to someone you love? What do you tell them when they’re going through something tough, or if they are beating themselves up over a mistake?
My guess is you respond with love and support and kind words. So do exactly that for yourself. When you’re being too critical or judging yourself, remember to be a loving and kind person to yourself!
“It’s OK if it didn’t work out, this is a lesson.”
“There are other people who have gone through this.”

“I did my best and that alone is enough.”
“I am brave for having tried.”
Isn’t that different than what you usually say to yourself? Start doing this now. Copy these phrases and keep them handy.

Focus on what you can change

You can only control you. You can only change you. Agree? I hope so, because this is key to understanding how to manage a difficult situation. When you are mad, sad, or disappointed, it’s okay.  Acknowledge those feelings and sit with them. But don’t allow those feelings to take over and cause you to feel even worse. What is one thing you are unhappy or unsatisfied about right now?How can you change it? Once you identify this, your mind can start focusing on a solution. A confident person will always try and find a solution, which leads them to overcoming challenges easier.

Get yourself a coach, mentor, or guide

Having a personal motivator on your side is massively effective for your personal growth and your confidence. Find someone who encourages you, supports you and motivates you to take action and who can help you discover your talents, and increases your sense worthiness and enoughness. A confidence coach like me is ideal so if you want to find out if my coaching is right for you, send me a message. The best investment you can make is in yourself!
